Skaguay Water Plant Trail
Victor, Colorado
This is hands down my new favorite find, as of Summer of 2023. WIth a drive out to Victor, it starts at the entrance of a reservoir and is extremely secluded the entire time. If you choose to go the length of the trail, I would be prepared for multiple water crossings with the chance that you may have to turn around due to a water crossing being too deep depending on the time of year. If you want a more leisurely stroll, the first two miles prior to the first water crossing, are absolutely stunning and worth the drive out to this location. This is my all-time favorite hike in the region!

Pro-Tips
-
Parking is free.
-
There is a Port-A-Potty at the parking lot.
-
My cell provider is T-Mobile and I have no cell service when I am out there, so be sure to tell a loved one where you are going!
-
Utilize the All-Trails App for guidance along the way, as there are a few tricky spots.
-
Hiking Poles will make the trip back down the steep trail much more doable. I have personally bloodied a few knees with slips and falls.
